I am an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist with experience of working with a wide variety of presenting issues including anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, anger, self-harming behaviours, low self-esteem and more. However, I believe that my most valuable skills are my interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and the therapeutic alliance.
I also hold an honours degree in Psychology from the University of Strathclyde. I studied all aspects of human psychology and focused on self-esteem for my own research and dissertation.
That is what I know and what I can do. But many prospective clients may want to know who I am. I’m 30 years old, relaxed and funny (or so I’m told!). Clients have told me that I can provide them with a place where they can explore their issues and feelings without judgement. That they feel safe and secure in session with me and that I am a friendly face, making the therapeutic journey easy for them. I truly believe in the power of CBT to give people a chance to take control of their lives and be the person they wish to be. I will do everything I can to help you with that.
